MA, RN, Program Manager for Health Hazard Evaluation for Patient Monitoring Quality & RegulatoryCatherine (Kate) Rochford was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and was determined to be a nurse from a young age.
As a child with health issues, she spent a considerable amount of time in and out of hospitals. The nurses who cared for Kate made a deep and lasting impression on her through their compassion, hard work and thoughtfulness. Her admiration for them fueled her passion to become a nurse.
Nursing did not come easy to Kate but she persevered and earned her Master in the Nurse Executive Program from Teacher College/Columbia University. She worked in all the critical care areas and even traveled to Saudi Arabia to work as a nurse!
Kate joined Hewlett Packard as a Clinical Specialist and excelled in roles including product innovation and quality. In a worldwide company like Philips, quality and safety are of the utmost priority. Kate’s role as a technical strategist determines product safety in the worldwide marketplace. She does so by conducting research and trainings globally.
